In contrast, neo-Gramscians address the processes not as the inevitable expansion of global capitalism, but as a less deterministic, more multifaceted dynamic. Elements include the internationalization of production (economics), the increasing role of global finance, the internationalization of the state (politics), the emergence of a new international division of labor with consequences for global poverty migrations, the fragmentation of civil society (social processes), and the delegitimation of Keynesianism causing the reification of monetarist discourses (ideology).
